Google’s I/O developers’ conference was held on May 19, finally named “Froyo frozen yogurt” of the latest version 2.2 Android operation system officially be issued. Then, we need to wait that the new smartphones with new generation of Android 2.2 operating system will be launched. Google bring us the Android system, which interface has more free and affinity and software development has more dependent on the individual developers. Especially in 2010, with the new version, we can see a more excellent intelligent system operation. Now, let’s have a look at which smartphones will have Android 2.2 system.

Motorola Droid2 – it don’t have more high technology then Droid X, but get more attention from people, mainly because of it will be running on the newest Android platform. The Motorola Droid 2 has been snapped in the wild and it looks very similar to the first Motorola Droid. The Motorola Droid 2 which is set to come out this month runs a 750 MHz processor with a 3.7 inch touch screen. Internal storage is at 8GB, augmented with the addition of another 8GB on a flash card. Verizon are set to be the first carriers of the Droid 2, but still no word if other carriers will come on board.

Samsung Galaxy S – The good news is that this handset will come equipped with Android 2.2 Froyo out of the box. As reported from BGR, the information has come to us courtesy of MobileCrunch. Specs of the GSM-based Galaxy Q include a 3-inch Super AMOLED display screen with multitouch, an 8 megapixel camera with separate 1.3 megapixel camera on the front, a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor and 16GB of internal memory. Some of you might also be excited to hear that the Samsung Galaxy Q will also come equipped with a QWERTY keyboard.

Samsung Moment 2 – As reported from Phandroid, the device has just passed FCC testing, meaning that a release could be available before the end of the year – likely to be on Sprint first of all. A few images were supplied with the FCC listing, with the main one giving you a decent look at the slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Will this device run the latest version of Android 2.2 Froyo, or will it still come packed with Android 2.1? Now, we don’t know. But according the on-sale date, it maybe updates the new Android 2.2 version.

LG Optimus and LG Chic – The Optimus devices will apparently be running a range of operating systems and will include Android tablet PCs — that’s a pretty comprehensive slice of the market. Two smart phones are already in the pipeline, the LG Optimus One with Google and the LG Optimus Chic, both of which will ship with Android 2.2, aka Froyo.
The LG Optimus One with Google has what’s almost certainly the silliest name in the history of smart phones, and we take our hats off to LG, we really do. There’s no word yet on whether LG will be skinning this phone with its own version of Android, but the use of ‘with Google’ leads us to believe it’ll be focusing on hardware and leaving the nitty gritty of the phone’s features and operating system up to Google, à la the Google Nexus One.
The LG Optimus Chic will appeal to fashion aficionados, we’re informed. Here’s some of LG’s marketing guff: “[The Chic is] challenging the perception that advanced Android devices need to appeal to a hardcore tech crowd to gain widespread acceptance.” Yeah you big nerds, stop demanding such ugly phones.

Apple’s iPad, are readying their own devices for what is already proving to be a rapidly growing marketplace. According to Apple, the company shipped “4.19 million iPads during the quarter.” During the Q3 earnings call, in the first full quarter in which the iPad was available, that number stood at just over 3 million.

The iPad only weighs 1.5lbs, gives you a display of 9.56 in (24.3 cm) × 7.47 in (19.0 cm) and is only 0.5 inches thick. The battery Life of iPad is up to 10 hours. These dimensions couldn’t be any handier and puts the iPad in a class of its own. iPad use of the iPhone OS and its clever data-entry scheme – virtual keyboard, multitouch gestures and all – turns the iPad into an immeasurably more usable device than any Windows-based tablet PC we’ve seen. In general, the iPad it’s not a Netbook killer, but it will take away revenues from that market.

Meanwhile, Dell Streak tablet device, perhaps is basically just a smartphone. Its five-inch touchscreen puts it somewhere in between an iPhone (screen size: 3.5 inches) and an iPad (9.7 inches). The Streak’s operating system is limited. Like many current and future iPad competitors, it uses Google’s Android OS. In this case, however, the Streak is using an older version of Android, version 1.6. The latest version of Android is Android 2.2 (also known as “Froyo”), so Streak gets a late pass.

Then, Samsung is readying its new tablet, the Galaxy. It is a true tablet, with a touchscreen that measures 7 inches diagonally. When it is released in late October or early November, it too will be sold through mobile carriers — all four big ones (AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon), in fact. The Galaxy will run on Android version 2.2.
Many of the apps available in the Android Market, when scaled to fit on the Galaxy’s comparatively gargantuan 7-inch display, are not going to look all that pretty, if they look like anything at all. There is another Android upgrade in the works (Android 3.0, a.k.a. “Gingerbread”), which may play more nicely with tablets like the Galaxy.

HP is coming a webOS-based tablet unofficially dubbed the PalmPad for release early next year. Things get very muddled, however, when the talk turns to HP’s Android tablet and Windows tablet PC plans.

For starters, design is less a factor for tablets than in the other categories. A tablet is supposed to be a mostly featureless panel of glass: that is the whole point. The hardware will also be fairly standardized (display, cameras, microphone, chipset). The only question will be who has the most and best apps. And if that is the key (and it is), then consumers are not actually the people that tablet makers should be concerned about right now — it is the app developers. Win them over, and the shoppers will follow.

Google Android Tablet PC Killed Ipad

Google Android Tablet PC Killed Ipad

A variety of Tablet PC using Google Android system will be on sale this Christmas holiday. Some analysts believe that as more and more companies accept the Android system, Android Tablet PC may be in a few years beyond the Apple iPad.

Samsung shows the newest Android-based tablet for the US.market on Wednesday in New York. The company said in the announcement, AT & T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint Nextel and T-Mobile have agreed to sell the tablet. Major U.S. carriers, said that the tablet will be available on time the Christmas holidays.

According to Gartner’s data, Smartphones running Android have already surpassed Apple’s iPhone in the U.S. said Ed Moran, director of insights at Deloitte Services LP. Google is possible to replicate the success of the tablet PC market. He said: “Google has a number of factors behind the success: open source, lower prices, and Android is not the product of a private company. This also applies in the tablet PC market.”

Although Google does not charge Android system, but if the Android system is widely used, then Google can gain new revenue opportunities. Cowen & Co analyst Jim Friedland said, Android system could help Google to increase mobile advertising revenue, to expand the search engine market, and enhancing the use of store operations.”By having an open Android system out there, it’s actually accelerating the adoption,” Friedland said. “Tablets will increase the amount of time that people stay on some sort of computing device, which expands the traffic and people that Google can monetize.”

The competition for market share is similar to Apple’s rivalry with Microsoft Corp. when personal computers became popular, Friedland said. Apple had a “cleaner product that was easier to use,” though not as many developers worked on the platform because it wasn’t as widely deployed. Restrictions on applications that go into the App Store can hold back innovation, he said.

Although the application of a uniform on the Android platform is lower, but open platform to more rapid development of the total, I think.
